Prof. (Maj. Gen (Rtd) Lekoa Mollo

ISSO Strategic Solutions is founded by Ambassador Lekoa Solly Mollo, a retired Military General and an African Statesman with extensive experience in Continental Peace and Security Architecture, Public-Private Partnerships, and Conflict-Sensitive Investment facilitation. With proven expertise in high-level negotiations, military strategy, and multilateral diplomacy, he serves as a critical advisor to governments, private investors, and regional institutions.

Prof. (Maj. Gen (Rtd) Lekoa Mollo is a seasoned leader whose career bridges the intersecting realms of military strategy, high-level business operations, and diplomatic engagement across the African continent. With decades of service, both in uniform and in civilian leadership. He has earned a reputation as a resolute strategist, skilled negotiator, and trusted bridge-builder in complex environments.

Prof Mollo was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary representing the Republic of South Africa in the Republic of Guinea (Guinea - Conakry), where he became the Deputy Dean of the Diplomatic Corps. Prior to that he was the South African High Commissioner to the Republic of Uganda for Five years. Before joining the Diplomatic corps he was, Principal of the South Africa National School of Government (NSG), responsible for the training of both Parliamentarians and Public Servants. Prior to that he was Director General (Permanent Secretary) of the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA), which is government department responsible for empowering the public servants with the requisite skills to deliver quality service to the populace,

• Serving as a Political and Strategic Advisor to the Minister of Public service and Administration on strategic and political issues
• Board member of Denel Aviation and Chairperson of Denel Personnel Solutions
• Appointed Professor Extraordinaire at Stellenbosch Business School
• Visiting Adjunct Professor at the University of Witwatersrand
• Member of the Military Court of Appeals
• President of the South African Military History
• Former Commandant of the South African Military Academy
• The Chairperson and Founder of the Forum of South African Business in Uganda (FOSABU)
  
  

A former Combatant of the Liberation movement, the African National Congress (ANC) that fought against apartheid and was among the first contingent of freedom fighters of uMkhonto we Sizwe, the military wing of the ANC, that were sent to Uganda from Angola in the late 80s to open training military bases. He retired as a Major General in the South African National Defence Force.

Ambassador Mollo has embarked on the role of being a consultant for doing business on the African Continent given the opportunities presented by the Atrica Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

He is recognized for his ability to operate effectively in high-risk environments, mitigate political risk, and unlock value through strategic stakeholder engagement and continues to advocate for African solutions to African challenges, prioritizing sovereignty, regional cooperation, and sustainable development.
